1. Introduction

This Training Course Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions applicable to all training courses delivered by Trident Training Centre.

By booking a course with Trident Training Centre, you agree to the terms outlined within this policy.

These terms are designed to ensure fairness for all learners while enabling us to effectively manage course scheduling, trainer allocation and certification requirements.

2. Course Bookings

Course bookings can be made online, by telephone, email or through an authorised representative.

A booking is only confirmed once:

  • Full payment has been received; or
  • Alternative payment arrangements have been agreed in writing.

Upon confirmation, learners will receive booking details and any relevant joining instructions.

It is the learner’s responsibility to ensure all information provided is accurate and up to date.

3. Eligibility Requirements

Learners must ensure they meet any course prerequisites before booking.

This may include:

  • Minimum age requirements
  • Valid identification documents
  • English language competency requirements
  • First Aid qualifications (where required)
  • SIA licensing requirements

Trident Training Centre reserves the right to refuse attendance where mandatory requirements have not been met.

4. Course Fees

All course fees are displayed in Pounds Sterling (£).

Course fees include tuition and assessment unless otherwise stated.

Certification fees, replacement certificates and additional services may incur separate charges where applicable.

Prices may be amended at any time prior to booking confirmation.

5. Learner Cancellations

More than 14 Days Before Course Start Date

Learners cancelling more than 14 calendar days before the course start date will be entitled to:

  • A full refund; or
  • Transfer to an alternative course date.

Between 7 and 14 Days Before Course Start Date

Learners cancelling between 7 and 14 calendar days before the course start date may:

  • Transfer to an alternative course date once free of charge; or
  • Receive a refund less an administration fee of £25.

Less Than 7 Days Before Course Start Date

Cancellations received less than 7 calendar days before the course start date are non-refundable.

However, at Trident’s discretion, learners may be offered an alternative course date where reasonable notice is provided.

6. Non-Attendance

Failure to attend a booked course without prior notification will be treated as a non-attendance.

No refund will be provided for non-attendance.

Any future training dates offered will be entirely at the discretion of Trident Training Centre and may incur additional charges.

7. Course Transfers

Learners may request to transfer to an alternative course date.

Transfer requests are subject to availability and must be made in writing.

Only one free transfer may be permitted per booking.

Additional transfer requests may incur an administration charge.

8. Course Cancellations by Trident

Trident Training Centre reserves the right to:

  • Reschedule a course
  • Change the training venue
  • Change course dates
  • Cancel a course

This may occur due to circumstances including:

  • Insufficient learner numbers
  • Trainer illness
  • Venue issues
  • Operational requirements
  • Events beyond our reasonable control

Where a course is cancelled by Trident, learners will be offered:

  • An alternative course date; or
  • A full refund

Refunds will be limited to the course fee paid.

Trident shall not be liable for any travel, accommodation, loss of earnings or other indirect costs incurred by learners.

9. Attendance Requirements

Learners must attend all required training sessions and assessments.

Late arrival, early departure or excessive absence may result in the learner being unable to complete the qualification.

Awarding body requirements often prevent certification where attendance requirements have not been met.

No refund will be provided where a learner fails to meet attendance requirements.

10. Identification Requirements

Learners may be required to provide valid photographic identification before attending training or assessments.

Acceptable forms of identification may include:

  • Passport
  • Driving Licence
  • Other approved photographic identification

Failure to provide suitable identification may result in attendance being refused.

11. Assessments

Many courses include written, practical or multiple-choice assessments.

To achieve certification, learners must successfully meet the assessment criteria specified by the awarding organisation.

Passing a training course cannot be guaranteed.

Certification is awarded solely on successful completion of the required assessments.

12. Assessment Resits

Where permitted by the awarding body, learners may be eligible to resit assessments.

Resit fees may apply.

The availability of resits and associated fees will be communicated at the time of assessment.

13. Certification

Certificates are issued by the relevant awarding organisation following successful completion of training and assessment requirements.

Certification timescales may vary depending on the awarding body.

Trident Training Centre cannot guarantee certificate delivery dates.

Replacement certificates may incur additional charges.

14. Learner Conduct

We are committed to maintaining a professional, respectful and safe learning environment.

Trident reserves the right to remove any learner whose behaviour is:

  • Disruptive
  • Threatening
  • Abusive
  • Discriminatory
  • Unsafe

No refund will be provided where a learner is removed from training due to unacceptable conduct.

15. Special Requirements

Learners who require reasonable adjustments or additional support should notify us before booking wherever possible.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate individual needs in accordance with applicable legislation.

16. Limitation of Liability

Trident Training Centre shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of earnings
  • Travel expenses
  • Accommodation costs
  • Indirect losses
  • Consequential losses

arising from course cancellation, rescheduling or learner non-attendance.

Nothing in this policy excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.

17. Data Protection

Personal information collected during the booking process will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Information may be shared with awarding organisations where necessary to administer qualifications and certification.
